Parvati: Ecstatic Kirtan

Tuesday, May 27th

7:00 – 8:30 pm

Parvati is Mount Shasta’s premier kirtan band, formed in 2023 by Anton Mizerak, tabla and vocals, Alyssa Narum, vocals and harmonium, and Laura Berryhill, vocals and manjira.

Kirtan is devotional call-and-response singing in the ancient language of Sanskrit. Each song resonates with a different sacred quality within us, allowing us to activate and embody that quality in our lives through sound, breath, and rhythm. In ecstatic kirtan we sing, clap, and dance our joy, or simply BE in the flow of musical energy, bringing us closer to the divine heart. The mystery and power of kirtan can connect us to the cosmos or carry us deeper into our own being.

Come rock your inner light! Sing and dance with us, or pray and meditate to your inner rhythm.
