It is good to be connecting once again. In this past several weeks, I have been deepening my study and meditation practice, spending more time each day to engage with Spirit, with my True Nature. I am finding this to be truly supportive and growth-enhancing, but it leaves me with a bit less time to write. I trust that the natural ebb and flow is working perfectly for the Whole. Please know that my daily prayer and meditation continues to be a container of support and blessing for each of you…knowing your Radiant Health and Wholeness, your Wisdom, Peace, Abundance, and Great Joy.
In my contemplation this morning, I was led to this passage from the Christian Bible: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:2-4)
The commentary went on to say that no matter what any day holds, I have the choice to see it through the lens of opportunity, to recognize that difficulties help to shape my faith. Viewed through an awakened consciousness, one open to the possibility of every moment, I can allow every challenge to lead me closer and closer to the Truth of my being. If I am willing to be shown, Infinite Intelligence will guide me to a higher way of seeing, to a more inspired way of living.
Looking back at the passage, I always scan for words that spark my curiosity. In this reading, the word perseverance caught my attention. Although I know how it is used in modern language, I am always interested in the historical meaning. In this case I found that the Latin roots point to abiding strictly or thoroughly. So, I am being called to abide strictly and thoroughly in Truth as I move through whatever challenges are presented. That’s a pretty tall order in times such as these. Nonetheless, if I seek to walk the razor-sharp edge that is the Spiritual Path, this is my Call. Challenge accepted!
What, then, are the opportunities presented by our current world circumstances? I can only speak for myself…your opportunities may be completely different.
I am being offered the opportunity…
…to practice being the calm amidst the storm.
…to remember to check in with my Inner Wisdom before responding to anything.
…to allow whatever is unfolding to be simply what it is, without giving it labels.
…to practice True Compassion, shifting my perspective so that I might better understand what another is feeling.
…to practice trusting, even Knowing, that everything required for the perfect fulfillment of this moment, and every moment, is already present.
…and to remain open to the possibility that in any moment, the seemingly miraculous can happen. The Truth is that miracles are happening everywhere we look.
Maybe you’d like to join me in looking for the opportunities that every moment holds, especially the ones that challenge us. We are, indeed, being given tremendous gifts…opportunities to see differently and to be born anew, individually, and collectively…in this present moment.
May we all choose to be Awake to the Infinite Possibility, available here and now…
May we be well…stay in touch…know our unity…and thrive!
And may we know the Absolute Beauty and Wonder of this Grace-filled, once-in-a lifetime day…
